I personally don’t like the use of the word “Crafty” in relation to Craft Beer as clever/humorous as the play on words may seem, but then again I just need to be patient as it will eventually get back to being just beer. But just for the record :
Crafty – Skilled in or marked by underhandedness, deviousness, or deception.
In the long run the beer drinker will drink what they want based on price, flavour, style, location, brand association, tribe, and possibly 100 other reasons. The use of the word “craft” is a differentiator from large brewery mega swill, but the lines are becoming more blurred everyday. At the end of the day beer will win, it will be better than it is today, without the term “craft”.
