These are the hops left in the tank from the Epic Armageddon IPA, part 2 of the West Coast (USA) IPA Challenge – Epic vs Hallertau.
This is what 9.5kg of hops look like when added loose to a fermenter half filled with 1000 litres of American style IPA.
Have you actually touched anything in this brew Luke? I’m wondering if it should be added against Hallertau or Epic on Ratebeer???😉

Looks like your trip to the US has been beneficial. Once when I was in the US and had my first Russian River Pliny and other DIPA’s, I knew I had to up the hopping rate too.My limit is 1.1kg in a 20 litre batch. Damn that beer was big.I have a Pliny clone on tap now, and was in the US last week. Mine is hoppier 🙂I feel the force Luke. Good job. I’m guessing it won’t be available in Oz ?Doc
