K.E.A Brewing, home of Admirals and New Munster, closes its doors today with both Brands set to disappear.
K.E.A achieved many successes within its short life span. The creation of three new Brands covering nine products, The successful launch into Supermarket shelves and the collection of two awards in BEERNZ 2007.
It’s been a hectic and rewarding ride but health and family come first and the owners reluctantly but the business into Liquidation.
‘It’s a shame it come to this, there are many great people and brands within this industry and we were looking forward to the six events we had lined up in the summertime. We’ll miss being part of it.’ states Warren Elliott, Director.
Hawke’s Bay Locals have already stated their disappointment at the closure many siting that New Munster had become their brand of choice.
Very disappointing. I was really enjoying the beer. Does anybody know what is to become of brewery and brewer?
Who is selling the brewery?
Sad news indeed ! I too have enjoyed the beers – I’ll have to spin out my latest 6 pack.
Very sad, glade we got to look around before the fold. The beers were coming along very nicely.
Brewery assets are for sale, will be sold for sure. Brewer is on holiday for 6 weeks. Not sure what the director is up to. Sad outcome, serious beer was being brewed here 🙁

All. Brewery is up for Sale and can be discussed with director on 021 791 195. Darrel the Brewer is looking at other options and I wish him all the best in future endeavours. As for me? well I need to attend to my health then look at things from there. All I can say is we had a terrific beer ride and have many people to thank for their support and custom.
