  1. And very nice it is too. I admit to doubting it, but it is a very sessionable beer. It reminds me of the original Sassy Red, but “done right”. The carbonation is not drastic, and the beer remains very drinkable, with a slightly firmer malt presence than standard Fuggles. The hops also seem to blend better, though this could be due to not being served through the sparkler on the handpumps which forces most of the hop aroma into the head where it then dissipates.Anyway, give it a crack, well worth it.

  2. Just to clarify Biggles/Fuggles has no NZ hops in it like Sassy Red.There are only UK grown Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. The carbonation level is running just a little above 2 volumes of CO2 compared to the other beers at around 2.5 volumes

  3. Yeah, I meant more that it’s in the same style as Sassy Red, but tastes better. I didn’t mean to imply the hop flavour profiles were the same. 🙂

  4. A number of us that live in Wellington would love to try this beer too!? Any chance of that?
